Kenny Welcome serves as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Louisiana Life and Annuity Insurance Company. A New Orleans native, Kenny’s career has been shaped by both deep local roots and global financial experience. He leads Louisiana Life’s strategic direction, investment platform, and organizational growth, with a focus on expanding access, creating opportunity, and driving long-term impact throughout Louisiana and its communities.
Prior to joining Louisiana Life, Kenny served as Vice President and Senior Investment Advisor at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In that role, he advised professional athletes, executives, entrepreneurs, and first-generation wealth creators, helping them navigate complex financial decisions with clarity, discipline, and a long-term perspective.
Kenny’s leadership philosophy is grounded in his experience as a student-athlete at Tulane University, where he was a team captain and Academic All-American for the Green Wave. That foundation continues to influence his work across business, community engagement, and civic leadership. Throughout his career, he has raised capital for both early- and late-stage companies, developed strategic partnerships across industries, and created pathways for emerging leaders to access transformative opportunities.
Kenny remains actively involved with Tulane University, advising on the development of the university’s Sports Business Conference and supporting initiatives that strengthen connections between the institution and the broader New Orleans community. He also serves on several boards across the region, contributing his expertise at the intersection of business leadership, community development, and long-term institutional stewardship.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing from Tulane University. Kenny lives in New Orleans with his wife, Naomi, and their two children, Nico and Mina, who inspire his commitment to building a legacy rooted in access, education, and opportunity for future generations.
